Love this thread line to some underrated music that seems more relevant than ever. Art Pop certainly missed the mark when it was released, but has become one of Gaga's solid efforts. Loved Jay-Z and Mariana together. Who doesn't want to live in a museum?
I like how this article took me on a similar journey as the song itself. During the first part I was like “I like Jay-Z, but God what an asshole” for how he brazenly just covets art for status (which I get is the norm for 99% of art buying history). Then at the end, reading about his performance (which I had no clue about), I was like “Aw that’s nice, this guy’s pretty profound.” Great article!
